What Is Proximity Key?

A proximity key (also named Push-to-Start, Smart Key, Intelligent Key or Push Button Start.Keyless Access.Keyless Entry) is a computerized device that enables a keyless door access and push button start ignition in your vehicle.
When user is within the admissible distance, the smartkey communicate using audio and infrared frequency waves with your auto motive to open and lock car doors and even to start the car engine with the key in the pocket.
In 1998, Mercedes-Benz was the first car-maker to outfit this system in their vehicles.
Currently, auto owners can take advantage of keyless devices and push-start ignition on nearly every automotive's and enjoy functions such as mirror adjustment, automatic door unlocking and locking, power windows, remote start and many more.
